THE BEGINNING OF SERENA ANCHANCHU SCHOOL

THE BEGINNING OF SERENA ANCHANCHU SCHOOL

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

The creation of Serena Anchanchu School began with a visionary dream by Dennis Alejo Mango, who was born in the southern Andes of Peru to an indigenous Quechua family. Though initially uninterested in spirituality, Dennis’s life changed when he met the Q’ero Paqos, the direct descendants of the Incas. Drawn to their spiritual cosmology and healing practices, Dennis began making pilgrimages to the Q’ero nation to study with them.

As Dennis and the Paqos developed a close relationship, they realized their mutual potential to share the Q’ero wisdom globally. The Paqos had dreams of traveling in “huge condors” (airplanes) to share their teachings and healings with people in Europe and North America. To support this vision, Dennis founded a company to bring the Paqos to these distant lands, helping them fulfill their prophetic dreams.

Inspired by the profound teachings and healings of the Paqos, Dennis’s ultimate dream was to share the pure wisdom of the Andes with the Western world. This vision materialized in the form of Serena Anchanchu School. Dennis passed away on June 26th, 2014, but his legacy continues through the school, dedicated to spreading the ancient teachings of the Q’ero Paqo priests.

Luis Alejo Mango, Dennis’ brother, has taken up the mantle to carry on and evolve this sacred legacy in the modern world. Born in Cusco, Luis’s Quechua ancestral roots connect him deeply to the ancient Inca lineage. Growing up, he was influenced by his brother and the ancient mystical traditions.

Dennis introduced Luis to the Q’ero paqos, the revered priests and medicine people of the Andes. Together, they traveled to the highlands of the Q’ero Nation, where Luis immersed himself in the teachings of the Q’ero Paqos. Captivated by the Andean cosmovision and healing practices, Luis began his apprenticeship, learning the mystical aspects and energy medicine that have sustained Andean communities for thousands of years.

With a formal education in Tourism, Luis skillfully combines his spiritual training with his professional knowledge to organize and guide spiritual retreats and online training for those wishing to learn from the Paqos. His fluency in Quechua allows him to translate and interpret the teachings of the Andean medicine men and women for Western audiences, bridging cultural and linguistic gaps.
This journey also led him to be inspired by indigenous shamans and the teachings and visions of sacred plant medicines of the Andes and the Jungle which he also includes in his retreats.

In the wake of Dennis’s passing, Luis honors his brother’s vision with heartfelt dedication. He is committed to sharing the traditions, wisdom, and healing practices of the Andean paqos with the world. Through Serena Anchanchu School, Luis continues to inspire and guide others on a path of spiritual growth, healing, and profound connection to the Andean heritage.
